The Shooting Boards are designed to be used with planes set for shavings 0.001 inch or less, adjusted and calibrated by the end user quickly and easily, and are capable of offering Dead Nuts Accuracy™. This means that the accuracy is as good as provided by the tools you use to calibrate the fence, and is directly transferred to the jig, offering you accuracy as good as you can ask for from woodworking tooling.

How does Dead Nuts Accuracy™ work? It’s all about attention to many built-in details that take about eight hours to perform, from raw materials to completed tool. A complete listing of Features and Specifications, complete with detailed photos is available by clicking right here.
Everything is hand made in house, nothing is farmed out. These are heirloom quality items. They are what I would want for myself, and are made the way I would want them, the same for every woodworker.

Ordering a Shooting Board is easy!
I am currently taking orders! These are artisan made, handcrafted to order, so please remember to provide lead time based on your needs.
Orders for Shooting Boards are placed via email only. I am sensitive to the costs of shipping, and am trying to keep shipping as fair and reasonable as possible. As such, I don’t offer flat rate shipping options. Please contact me for quotes with shipping and handling included for final pricing. Remember to include the Zip Code or Postal Code to your shipping address, and your personal preferences as to which items or model(s) you are interested in, and if it should be made in right or left handed versions.

I also offer some products where the shipping and handling have been figured into the total payment for these items, and there is a button available for ordering. Please remember these items are custom made for you, and there is a variable lead time required to make and fill orders for all items. Please allow for this when you place your order.

Fixturing for odd non-square shapes while shooting the long grain edges. Useful for book matching veneers, panels, and jointing material to the 24 inch range. Particularly useful for shooting angles for decorative inlays, starbursts, and lutherie. The Accessory Caul Kit is a caul and fixturing thumbscrews that mount parallel and adjacent to the chute. It offers fixturing to the shooting board at any angle. Additional Threaded bosses included in every board allow use of this caul for alternative fixturing possibilities. Available for Left and Right Handed Models, Kit includes Caul and Fixturing Thumbscrews.

A shooting board designed for use with Kanna, where the planes are pulled instead of pushed. The Board lift is thicker to accommodate the thicker sides of Japanese planes. Simply fixture this board in your face or end vise and shoot. Fully calibratable accuracy, available in Basic, Basic Plus and Deluxe versions, Left and Right Handed Models.

This is the same fence that comes standard with the board. Some woodworkers like having extra fences, or fences cut with a different angle settings other than square or 45 degrees as is usually supplied. As always, the fence faces are flattened on a granite surface plate to 0.001. *This fence is not supplied with additional Thumbscrews.*

Sold as a pair, these are the brass and 316-stainless steel thumbscrews supplied with each board’s standard fence. They are 1/4-20 thread pitch, measuring 1-5/8th inches overall with a 1-1/8 inch thread length. Great to have as extras should you lose or damage the originals, or order some for your custom projects.
