The 'Bench End Planing Stop'

A Strong, Adustable Bench-End Mounted Planing Stop
Thick or Thin Stock Planing Capabilities!

It's a new approach to an old problem.
A planing stop that adjusts for thick and thin stock thickness,
looks good, maximizes bench space,
is strong enough to handle the rigors of real woodworking,
and gets out of the way when it isn't needed.

These planing stops mount on the left front corner of a right handed bench
with two or three 5/16ths x 3-inch lag screws, depending on the model.
As always, Left hand models are available upon request.

Made from 7/4 thick stock, All models are 12 inches long. They're beefy!
Six 1/4-20 x 1-1/4 inch flat head cap screws adjust to handle any stock thickness.
The spacings on the flat head cap screws are 0, 1, 2-1/2, 5, 7-1/2 and 10 inches.
Raise any two or three screws to stop any board width you are working.

Raising the stops is quick and easy!
The integral hex key holder stores the wrench at the ready.
Recessed in a cove so it doesn't catch on things,
but is easy access at your fingertips so as to be handy.

There is never any worry with these Stop Bolts.
They are 82 degree countersink, grade 8 hardware, 1-1/4 inch long.
They really hang onto the work! You never need to raise
them very high, so your plane irons remain safe!

These come in three standard width sizes.
Small: 1-3/4, Medium: 2-3/4 and Large: 3-3/4 inches wide to match most benches.

Like all our products, these are finished in Watco Teak Oil,
which has BLO-like ambering, pops grain, and is a marine grade matte finish.
This finish is easily repaired should it ever become damaged.

There is plenty of length in the stops to compensate for bench flattening.

Available in Ash (as shown), Cherry, Hard Maple, and Walnut, or we can mill your stock for a nominal upgrade fee.
