A Granite Surface Plate is a highly accurate and veratile tool in any shop.

This soft fleece cover helps keep your surface plate clean and ready to use.

The kit includes a soft, fitted charcoal grey fleece cover,
a surface plate foot kit with three self adhesive feet,
and an information sheet covering the foot installation and general care of your surface plate.

The foot kit stablizes and supports the plate, keeping it from rocking and
skidding on the benchtop under heavy use like sanding and sharpening.

It prevents liquids from wet sharpening sessions
from creating a capillary suction under the plate so you can't move it,
and aids cleanup under the plate when any kind of mess occurs.

The addition of a foot kit also provides for getting an easy finger hold,
helping to get a firm grip on the surface plate when moving or storing it.
