Converts our right-hand Basic and Deluxe Shooter
models into the ultimate "Chute Style" shooting board
for the LN 51 Shooting Board Plane.
The Stanley 51 has long been respected by woodworkers
as a purpose built shooting plane with a true 20 degree skew blade
that offers a superior shooting experience.
Lie-Nielsen has reproduced the 51 chute board plane and made it better than ever.
Our shooting boards are precision tools, very robust and accurate.
Made to withstand the rigors of daily use.
The LN 51 Chute Adapter is designed to hold the LN 51
in the chute of our 'Basic' and 'Deluxe' Shooting boards
the same way the 52 chute board does.
The LN 51 Chute Adapter mounts on the right edge of the chute
with three 1/4-20 cap screws offering adjustable plane to
chute clearances for accurate cuts and smooth glide.

It's all about the small details, and there are many:
Our LN 51 Chute Adapter is precision sanded on both
sides to 0.001 flatness, to assure straight travel in the chute.
Polished and waxed for smooth planing action.
Machined mounting slots allow approximately +/- 0.250 or 1/4
inch adjustment to match the 2-1/8 inch "nominal" width of LN 51.
The chute adapter comes precision machined
and is reversable. Easily removed should you
want to use your board with a different plane.
The kit includes one reversable chute adapter, and three
Stainless Steel button head cap screws for mounting to affirm
your Chute Adapter stays in adjustment under heavy planing forces.
