Our shooting boards are made from Baltic Birch,
the most rugged, stable and moisture resistant of all plywoods.
The overall size is 1-1/4 inches thick, by 14-3/4 inches square.

The chute is 2-3/4 inches wide, trued to within .001 straightness and
within .001 coplanarity to the top of the board.
The Dust Groove keeps small shavings
from accumulating and fouling the plane's accuracy.

While wide enough to accommodate any plane -
here, the chute is all about the 51,
adjusting to fit with fine tolerance.
Finely smoothed and buffed with wax
for an accurate, friction-free plane chute surface.

The '51 Shooter's' working area is nominally 11-1/2 inches square,
allowing a wide range of board widths to be trued.
The fence mounting points are counterbore-set steel inserts,
centered on the specific angles offered, and epoxied for rigidity and longevity.

The fences are designed to pivot to any angle the board fixtures.
They are a flip design, covering 90 degrees on one side, all other angles on the other.

The 'Standard Fence' is supplied with 45 and 90 degree angles standard,
and additional fences are avalible as accessories,
which can be supplied with 90, and any other fixturable angle.

The fence faces are flattened to .001,
and are made user-calibratable for high accuracy in any season.
Adjustable to two positions on the "Basic" Model (45 and 90 degrees),
Three positions on the "Basic Plus" (45, 22.5 and 90 degrees)
Six positions (15, 22.5, 30, 45, 60 and 90 degrees) on the "Deluxe" model.
Seven positions (15, 22.5, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 degrees) on the "Ultra" model.

We finish with marine grade Teak Oil, an "in the wood" finish.
Lasting durability with proper care, it's a precision tool.
